Was one of Santa’s little helpers making a prank call ? No. Just 426 days since first stepping into a harmless electric kart in an industrial shed somewhere in the depths of Hampshire, Nelson was now invited to Italy by the official EKS Works Team for testing. Venue: Europe’s finest karting track, the South Garda Karting Circuit at Lonato.

True, Nelson and team mate Akille both use EKS’s chassis and had turned in some notable performances in 2024 but few credited that the EKS factory had the boys firmly on their radar, monitoring progress. What an honour.

To maximise such an exciting opportunity, our UK team boss, Savvy rose to the occasion superbly to transport the team’s two karts 1000+ miles down to Lonato, just so the boys could use their own machines to familiarise themselves with Lonato for a few days prior to stepping up to the works karts.
